Details: The National Geographic Society called traditional African education, "Earth's oldest educational system which offers insights into current concerns and a heritage of teaching and passing on of knowledge" (The Washington Post, 1990). For fifty years, Abena Walker has researched and utilized the foundation of this system to educate adults and students from the pre-school through the university levels and delivered over one thousand presentations across the United States, Canada, England, and Ghana, West Africa.
